Meet the Morgans...again!

I told you that you would see more of this gorgeous family! I love hanging out with this fun bunch...so many smiles and laughs are to be had when with them. We especially had some major giggles when trying to prop baby Andrew in his Halloween costume next to a pumpkin. Let's just say that gravity got the best of him :)

I thought this was too cute seeing daddy prop him up, and then telling me to get ready cause he is going to let go!

oplove: the "p" family

Yet another family getting ready to part for several months. I cannot express the feeling that comes across me when meeting with these wonderful military families to witness the last few days and moments together before the long awaited and dreaded deployment. These families never cease to amaze me, as they hold their family together with such a strong bond and love for each other.

kevin: class of 2012!

I met up with Kevin at a beautiful park in Auburn. This senior session was a lot of fun, as Kevin brought his chef outfit (he LOVES to bake and I even put in an order for one of his famous pumpkin pies which he makes completely from SCRATCH!) and he brought his little dog Bingo...which made a great picture with the both of them together.

oplove: the "g" family

I met this wonderful family at a near by field that I have used before for another session as shown here. I am utterly in love with this location! When Amanda first contacted me about having a pre-deployment OpLove session done, I knew right away this would be the perfect setting. Since this field is full of huge oak trees I had a new idea to use a giant yellow ribbon as a prop. It worked out beautifully!

Amanda and her husband Mike just recently moved out here and are stationed at Beale AFB...Mike is deploying in September to Afghanistan. His last deployment, Amanda was pregnant with their daughter Lilly and Mike arrived home shortly before Amanda gave birth. This time around, Lilly is now almost 12 months.

I am so thankful and gracious to this family and all other military families for all that they sacrafice during a deployent. I am forever grateful, and I am so happy and honored that I got to be a part of their family for that morning to capture images of them all together before facing many miles and months apart.

tie a yellow ribbon around the old oak tree

This image was too beautiful not to share. A simple but meaningful ribbon, tied to a tree in the middle of a field. The yellow ribbon is a sign of loyalty to family, friends or loved ones away in the military, or to welcome them home.

mr. & mrs. chapdelaine

This rustic wedding took place in Nevada City at a private estate nestled in the sierra mountains. This was one of my favorite weddings to date! Everything about this wedding was stunning and my bride and groom were so natural and at ease in front of my camera.
